POSITION SUMMARY: The Education Accounting Assistant is an integral member of the Finance and Education Teams whose primary responsibility is to support the financial operations of the theatre. The individual works closely with the Controller and Education Administration & Finance Assistant, assisting with monthly financial reconciliations, accounts receivable, and other related tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 1 . RECONCILIATION Reviews Education department finance reports regularly to ensure that expenses are recorded correctly. Assists with monthly reconciliation of Education Actuals vs. Budget. Tracks expenses for Enterprise releases from restriction. Assists with monthly reconciliation of Contributed Revenue/A/R. 2. BILLING Manages invoicing for external Education programs and partnerships including Institute and AllianceWork. Processes payments in Tessitura. Communicates regularly with program managers regarding delivery updates and outstanding invoices. 3. EDUCATION AND FINANCE SUPPORT Assists with Education weekly payroll upload as needed. Assists with invoices/payment requests as needed. Assists with tracking expenses and preparation of documentation for the GA Film Tax Credit as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
